Hello!

 Wow~ I can't believe I haven't posted in approx. 2 months! It's not that I haven't been busy, I've been traveling with my kids (by car) and stitching up a storm! Where do I start to catch you up!?

Let's start with the completion of the last post...I have stitched all of the Hometown Holidays by Little House Needleworks over the past few years and decided that this would be the year that I fully finish them and display them this Christmas season. Here is the final finish and display!

I am SO happy I finished this and that the family can enjoy it! I would like to add little add-ons over the years. I found some ornament cars that I added on each level. I added brush trees and mini lights.

I've decided to finish up some of the 'series' pieces that I have started ~ Hands On Design A Year of Celebrations (I just have December to stitch), Crazy Annies 2020 Gift Tag Ornaments (just have #12 to stitch), Stitching With the Housewives Truckin' Along (February - July), Shannon Christine Christmas Club Ornaments (part 5).

I have started to stitch Hands On Design A Banner Year (Snow Much Fun) seems to be a quick stitch so far. Still working on (and need to finish) Country Cottage Needleworks  Ho Ho Ho and Away We Go.

I recently stitching the December Truckin' Along (Stitching With the Housewives), What's in my Cup Silent Night and Hello Winter by Stitching With the Housewives too. You see I've been busy but just can't find a few moments to update my blog, sorry!

I'll get pictures up with I fully finish the pieces...stay tuned!

I've changed my Etsy shop from finished stitched pieces to fully finished pieces. It seems that no-one wants un-fully finished cross stitched pieces. So I will go throught what I have and see what I can fully finish and perhaps sell some of this pieces from the dresser drawer storage area!

Come and visit and see what's new...limited quantity pieces! www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches

Good Sunday Afternoon...

 Good Afternoon!

It's been a busy week following my nine (9) days off from work. A nice stay at home vacation trying to get things done around the house...there's always something to do around here, how about where you live?

I got ALOT of stitching done while I was on vacation so here we go...

My first project that I wanted to work on was my HOMETOWN HOLIDAY series by Little House Needleworks.

I've got all the buildings stitched and now it's time to put them together! I decided to do flat fold stand-ups using this material for the backing:

with mini white pom-pom trim. All the chip boards are cut and batting is attached, fabric is cut and everything is ready to assemble.

Hopefully I can get upstairs to the finishing room sometime today and start the assembly. I can't wait to show you! Stay tuned!

Other things I finished stitching are:

SURRENDER the treats by Hands On Design. She published this complimentary chart in her latest newsletter, it stitched up quick. I made an ornament for my halloween tree and will assemble another stand-up version and put it in my etsy shop.

I finished stitching....

BASIC WITCH by Stitching With the Housewives. Such a cute stitch for halloween. I changed the spider color and the color of the mug to make is more 'Halloweenie'. Am going to try to finish it into an ornament for my Halloween tree.

My October marker was this collage of previously stitched pieces that hang around in my home all year.

Bent Creek, Lizzie*Hand and Heart in Hand. Older charts can be found at your local/online LNS.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest things I stitched, as I LOVE posting them for you to see.

I'm currently stitching GOOBLE (what's in my cup) by Stitching With the Housewives, and have something in mind for my etsy shop for Thanksgiving. You can visit my etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches.

As always before I close, here's a shout out to my daughter's etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/SmashCoStickers. Here's her latest that in the shop now.

Have a great stitching week and I'll post again next Sunday!

Mid Week Update

 Good Thursday morning!

I'm on vacation this week, pumpkin bread is baking in the oven and autumn has arrived. The day's are cooler, however still humid here in So. Fla., but I'll take it! We had a few low humidity days with a beautiful breeze, I was able to get the front yard re-planted for fall. Been out miracle-growing everything this morning as it looks like we have afternoon rain storms in the horizon.

I've finished stitching a few pieces since the last time I posted and I wanted to share them with you. First up is....

Prairie Schooler 2020 Santa! Stitched on 14ct Fiddler's cloth using DMC threads. I had to outline the rabbits because you couldn't really see the little wind-blown bunnies on this fabric choice. Will finish as an ornament for this years' Christmas tree.

Next was....

Let It Snow and Stay Warm by Shannon Christine Designs, Christmas Club 2020. Both of these were stitched on 14ct navy blue aida using DMC threads, Mill Hill beads (00161) and DMC E5200 on the stars, mitten rope and edging of mittens and hat and also the fringe of the scarf.  I love how pretty these turned out on the navy blue fabric.

Finally was...

Mistletoe by Shannon Christine Designs, Christmas Club 2020. Stitched on the same 14ct navy blue aida using DMC threads. I substitued the gold krenik with DMC 729 as I don't like stitching with krenik thread. Mill Hill beads 02013 are also used on this piece. Can't wait to finish these as ornaments.

Here's an autumn/fall reciepe for you all to bake and enjoy (the house smells SO good today)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                                           PUMPKIN BREAD
3 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 2/3 cup water, 2 cups pumpkin, 1 cup oil, 3 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 tbsp. salt, 3/4 tsp allspice, 1 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 2 tsp. baking soda, 1 cup nuts, 1 cup raisins.
Stir and mix together all liquid ingredients, and then add in dry ingredients, nut and raisins. Pour into a greased and sugared loaf pan (2). Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Before I sign off...come visit my etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches)  and see these two items and more....

Also a shout out to my daughter who opened up her own etsy sticker shop. Come and visit her and see all her hand designed stickers for any occassion. www.etsy.com/shop/SmashCoStickers

Have a great day! Remember, you matter!

Sunday Update

 Good Sunday Morning!

Hope you all had a good week, filled with lots of little XXX's! My week was busy...let's start!

Started and finished stitching Hello Pumpkin by Stitching With the Housewives. Changed the word PUMPKIN to Autumn to fit in with the Autumn decor of my home. Changed the colors of the big top pumpkin to ____ and changed the blue pumpkin at the bottom to an orange pumpkin as we don't see blue pumpkins down here in FL. Stitched on 14ct black aida (Etsy ~ Annabelles). Used DMC threads.

Next was:

October ~ Truckin' Along by Stitching With the Housewives. I changed the left and right motifs from chickens sitting on a pumpkin to the original pumpkin from white to orange, DMC 921 and then a smiling, viney mini pumpkin (from the truck portion of the chart). The candy corns were SO easy and fast to stitch, finished in a few days. Stitched on 14ct black aida, once again from Etsy ~ Annabelles.

Then...

Little House Needleworks ~ The Post Office from the Hometown Holiday series. Remember, Diane is only doing a yearly Hometown Holiday chart from here on out. I changed the mailbox from a red one to a common blue one that we have down here in FL, DMC # 311. I adjusted the POST OFFICE words at the top because I didn't follow the pattern and had extra room on the right so I added a # as most post offices are numbered.

I'll start finishing this series while I am on vacation next week and I will post my finishes. I can't wait to have this series up to date, finished and displayed this Christmas. Just a note...a bought a horizontal ladder shelf a few years ago to display this on, never opened and can't wait to get it out of the attic this year! EXCITING!

I have just listed the following items on my Etsy shop this morning...www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches.

Charles Craft ~ velour fingertip towels
Mill Hill Designs ~ coin purse. Cross stitched and beaded, Everything Mary Antique Purse Frame and 1/4yd of black wide wale corduroy fabric. Directions of how to assemble the coin purse are on the back of the purse frame packaging.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday, filled with lots of XXX's and memories!

Good Morning!

 Just a quick Tuesday morning post...last day of vacation today! Fully finished my September things yesterday....

Setpember Word Play by With thy Needle and Thread. Stitched on cream 14ct aida using DMC threads.

Next... September Truckin'Along by Stitching with the Housewives. Love this series as I like monthly things that I can change out. Notice the little pumpkin button in the button right hand corner that I added. Stitched on brown 14ct aida using DMC threads.

And then finally...September..A Year of Celebrations by Hands On Design. Cute, simple little monthly  piece. Stitched on a scrap of white 14ct aida using DMC threads.

This was a piece that I doodle around with yesterday for my tier tray...The stitched piece was from Lizzie*Kate many years ago and I decided to make a back to school garland and jazz up the tier tray.

Have a GREAT stitching day and do what makes your heart happy!

Ornaments

 Good Morning!

These pieces were HOT off the needle this week!

This is a bonus chart from the Ornament Club by Shannon Christine Designs. I chose to stitch this on navy blue aida using DMC threads. There are accent mill hill beads #2013 for rudolph's bright red nose. A quick stitch. Will be made into an ornament, of course.

Next was:

This is chart #7 in CrazyAnnie's 2020 Christmas Ornament Tag series. I chose to stitch this on red 14ct aida using dmc threads. I changed the border to the black/white gingham as I do a black/red/white tree at Christmas time. I have already started to finish this series and will post pictures later.

Just a reminder ~ I'm offering a 20% off discount on my Etsy shop September 4th - 7th, 2020. I've got cross stitch supplies, finished stitched pieces and fully finished pieces in my shop! Stop by and shop! www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches

Have a great stitching Sunday...headed to the finishing room!

Pumpkin Cuties!

 Look what I just put in my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches).

What a fun but tiring afternoon of putting these together! A pattern I have loved forever from a cross stitch shop I worked in back in the 80’s.

Made into an ornament but can be used as a tier tray accent as well! Cute, cute, cute!

Have a stitchy kind of night!

Hello!

 Hi!

Greetings from windy So. Florida, so lucky that those two (2) storms ~ Laura and Marco have decided to take another path other than to our state. Prayers to those in their paths.

I've been busy doing some finishing the last few days, so happy with how these turned out. Take a look!

This is Blessed by Priscilla & Chelsea of Stitching with the Housewives (a freebie) and I just LOVE it! Makes a great tier tray accent piece. So pretty with the sunflowers! Stitched on a scrap of 14ct black aida using DMC and GAST threads. Finished using sticky board, buffalo check fabric, and a little dainty piece of lace trim!

Next...

I believe this was a piece by Little House Needleworks (LHN) or maybe Prairie Schooler. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Stitched on a scrap piece of 14ct white aida using DMC threads. Finished on sticky board covered with burgandy fabric and a green ribbon. Cute again as a tier tray accent piece or even nice on a small easel in the living room.

Finally,

For Keeps by The Trilogy! I LOVE this one! So cute! Stitching on 14ct fiddlers cloth using DMC threads. Finished on sticky board covered with a burgandy/green paisley fabric and accented with a piece of ercu lace. Once again, a nice tier tray accent piece or even a nice stand up piece on a small easel in the bedroom on the nightstand!

ALL three of these finished pieces are available in my ETSY shop:

Good Sunday Morning!

 Good Morning!

I missed last Sunday's post due to bloggers new way of uploading pictures. It took me a week but have figured it out! So here we go!

I'm going to start showing a previous finish with every post and then this week's stitching to give you a little bit more to read and stick around.

This is Bent Creek's ~ Signs of Winter, Signs of Spring, Signs of Summer and Signs of Autumn. Stitched on 14ct aida using DMC threads. Design size 3"X5".  These are previously stitched and are for sale in my ETSY shop.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/LizziesXStitches?ref=search_shop_redirect.

This week's stitching was BLESSED by Stitching With the Housewives. Stitched on 14ct white aida and 14ct black aida, using DMC and GAST threads. Will be finished on Wednesday and then released for sale in my etsy shop.

Have a great week and check back often! Make every stitch count!

Where There Is Life...

 Where There is Life There is Hope by Little House Needleworks and Country Cottage Needleworks. What a cute design and a quick stitch! I changed the colors a little and have shown my color choices. Stitched on creme 14ct aida using DMC and GAST threads.

Another Sunday afternoon!

Another Sunday afternoon!  I just finished stitching and beading HOLLY JOLLY & Tis The Season by Shannon Christine Designs as part of a Christmas Ornament Club I joined!

What beautiful charts, shading that is subtle but makes the design POP!

I stitched both  charts on Charles Craft 14ct Navy Blue, using DMC threads and GAST threads as well. Mill Hill beads were attached as called for in the chart! (a few substitues: instead of Kreinik very fine braid I used DMC 729, instead of B5200 bright white I used GAST Chalk).

I chose the background fabric and trims but I would like to have them all stitched and then assemble, it's just easier so that all look the same when finished! Can't wait!

Blessed

A 'blessed' Sunday it was! I finished this adorable FREE chart by Stitching With the Housewives (Pricilla & Chelsea)... the chart can be found on her blogspot. (priscillas. blogspot.com) I stitched this on denim blue 14ct aide using DMC threads. Finished as a stand up (with easel) for the credenza in the family room, so all can see and remember that everyday we are blessed!

Sunday FUNday!

Hi! Happy Sunday Everyone! I decided earlier this week that I would spend some quality time in my craft room finishing 'many' of my stitched pieces today. Here's a look at what I finished! This is August Flip It Bits by Lizzie*Kate. Stitched on 14ct fiddlers cloth using DMC threads I finished on sticky board with my stitching and then another material covered piece of sticky board and then put a felt backing on the back. This piece will go in my tiered tray for August. Next was: August ~ A Year of Celebrations by Hands On Design. Simply finished on a piece of sturdy cardstock and will be dislayed on a wooden box frame with a second covered black buffalo checked board behind it. Stitched on 14ct fiddlers using DMC threads. Then there was: August Truckin' Along by Stitching With the Housewives (Priscilla & Chelsea). This piece is displayed on a metal, rectangular bucket from Michaels. Simply finish. Stitched on 14ct chalkboard Aida using DMC threads. And then: August Word Play by With thy Needle and Thread, stitched on creme 14ct aida using DMC threads. This piece is displayed on a white-washed board the just props up againt a basket on the credenza. A second fabric covered board is behind the stitching with a gray buffalo checked fabric.

I'm Back!

Hello! Wow! I can't believe it's been 4 years since I last posted! Many things have changed within the last 4 years...not looking back, only forward! I've decided to rejuevenate my blog, showcasing my stitching and finishing, now that I have a new craft room for finishing that I just LOVE! I still stitch everyday, whenever I can find a few minutes here and there. Sometimes I stitch for the whole day if my chores for the day are done. Love these days! Here is one of my latest stitching and finishing. I just LOVE this one! Hello Summer
~ by Stitching With The Housewives. Stitched on navy blue 14ct aida using DMC threads. Finished in a simple frame with a backer board of dusty green gingham, the stitching is mounted on sticky board. Finished with a burlap bow, a string of red rick rac then enhanced with a watermelon button and bee button. Cute! Simple!
