Cubby All Dressed Up for Easter!

I first saw this 'cubby' mentioned on Little House Needleworks blog...with a little investigation I found it at Pottery Barn and by using my birthday money I was able to purchase it! I LOVE IT!

I have always wanted to stitch this chart. So much in fact, that I purchased the chart TWICE! Once I realized my over zealous-ness of this chart I knew I needed to get stitching this. Well here it is! I made a few changes...my name is rather long so I re-positioned the bird and only stitched the numeric year. I can't wait to get it framed now!

What a quick stitch this was even though I made a pretty big boo-boo! If you look at the original chart and then look at my stitching you will see that the top portion was stitched two boxes too high ~ didn't realize until I was ready to put the roof portion on the houses. I think I adjusted the pattern quite well!

This one is hot off the needle last night! Disappointed that you can't see the snow on the ground by the bunnies or on the trees for that matter either. Changed the TWEET color from DMC712 to DMC3777.

CCN ~ March Cottage

I just finished stitching this March cottage this past weekend. These stitch up SO fast. I used moss marbled aida for this one and I left a light on in the right upstairs window. Perhaps someone is stitching up there or reading. :)

Here is the frame I ordered for the Country Cottages by CCN. I plan on stitching the monthly cottages and slipping the stitched piece in the back monthly! I just LOVE the way it turned out!

Remember...this is the fabric I dyed with cherry kool-aid and I flipped the hearts on the bottom border.

Here is what I gave my kids as decorations on the Valentine's goodie bag. Just a quick stitch to fancy up the gift bag!

Just a simple heart, stitched on Aida and then cut out close and attached with glue dots!

February Cottage

Just finished putting the last of the stitches in on Country Cottage Needleworks ~ February Cottage! I dyed this white Aida 14 count fabric with cherry kool-aid and am tickled 'pink' with the great results. So much in fact, that I am going to try dying another piece with lemonade flavor for the April cottage chart hitting LNS's at the end of the month.

I stitched this one up just today...! A real quick stitch.
Sam Sarah Designs ~ Pearls True Love. Used perforated paper and will attach a ribbon flower instead of the button and use in a paperweight. I'll post pictures as soon as I have it together.

Winter Sheep

Here's another quick stitch for the week ~
LHN ~ Winter Sheep. I stitched this on 14 count Fiddler's with DMC thread. Changed the red border to DMC #930. Changed the cardinal button to a stitched blue bird, added pearl metallic to the snow and snowflakes, changed the words to DMC #680, changed the star from gold to red. I'm happy with the changes!

Here is my latest finish...just a plain hand towel with the pattern from The Sunflower Seed called Lil' Christmas. I adjusted the height of the letters to fit within the stitching area of the towel. No buttons will be added because I want the recipient to be able to use the towel.

January ~ Cottage of the Month

Here's Country Cottage Needleworks ~ January Cottage of the Month! What a cute little series this is going to be. I added DMC pearl metallic to the white of the snow and changed the JANUARY to a darker turquoise.

I've ordered the frame from my on-line LNS (123Stitch) and will change the stitching out monthly once the series is complete.
